Below is a list of common questions we receive from our patrons. We have
posted them here in the chance that you too have wondered, but never
thought to ask.
If you have a question that is not covered here, please don't hesitate to give
us a call. We love to hear from our customers!

What are your hours? Doors open daily at 11am for reservations and gift certificate sales and 12noon for hot tubbing. We close at 1am from Sunday - Thursday and 2am on Fridays and Saturdays. (Hours may be altered around specific holidays. Please call to confirm.)
Where are you located? We have three locations in Michigan - Ann Arbor, Grand Rapids, and Kalamazoo. Visit our Find Your Oasis page for directions and maps.
What do I need to bring? Not much! Each private outdoor or indoor garden includes a multi-channel satellite music system, an enclosed dressing room and shower, shower soap, and towels. Hair dryers and combs are available upon request. Oasis provides one towel per guest but we do offer optional towel rental if you would like to have extra towels.
You are welcome to bring shower shoes, robes, body lotion, and shampoo amenities, but we ask that you refrain from using bubble bath and/or body oils. (They upset the chemical balance of the water, and you may incur cleaning or damage charges.)
Should I make a reservation? We recommend making reservations, especially during nights, weekends, and holidays. While we take walk-ins based on availability, reservations are suggested, especially during our busy season, which runs from the first winter snowfall through March. Friendly Oasis personnel are available to schedule your reservation today!
What do I need in order to make a reservation? You will be asked the date, time, and length of your reservation as well as your contact information and the number of guests in your party. On specific days – including weekends and holidays – you may also be required to provide a credit card or gift certificate number. (Note: Your card will not be charged at the time you make your reservation.) Be sure to ask about our cancellation policy.
What is your cancellation policy? We have a four-hour cancellation policy. We need to hear from you four hours before the time of your reservation if you need to make a change or cancel your reservation. With less than four hours notice, there are no refunds. 24-hour notice is required on holidays.
How long can I hot tub? Most guests stay either 1, 1½, or 2 hours. At the conclusion of your hot tub reservation we will gladly offer you the opportunity to purchase additional time if it is available. Regrettably, we are not able to refund any portion of unused time should you chose to depart early.
Do you have overnight accommodations? No. We do not have overnight rooms.
Should I bring my own music? No. Each room is equipped with a multi-channel music system, for your convenience. (NOTE: For health and safety reasons, there are no electrical outlets in the rooms.)
Will I be cold in the outdoor tubs? When you enter the water, your body temperature rises, so you don't feel cold, even while sitting in the water. Our outdoor tubs are very popular - especially during winter snowfalls. Our guests will tell you - there is simply no greater experience than sinking into hot, bubbly water while surrounded by the outdoor elements.
Are the tubs private? Yes. Each room has an enclosed, temperature-controlled dressing room for changing and for storing your belongings. Walk through another set of doors and enter out on your own deck, with 12-foot walls for complete privacy. Your only link to the outside world is an intercom in each suite. You can request changes in water temperatures or have a question answered without leaving the seclusion of your garden.
Is the water clean? Yes. We employ a state-of-the-art water filtration system that regulates the chemical balance of the water. Fresh water circulates through the filter system every eight minutes. We are regulated by the State Health Department, and, while not required, our staff performs regular water tests in order to ensure the highest standard of water cleanliness.
Do you allow food and beverages? Because they tend to create messes, food and snacks are not permitted. However, we encourage you to drink water and fruit juices; you may bring your own or purchase drinks at the front desk. Consumption of ALCOHOL is strictly prohibited, as is the use of glass containers. Please review our Policies & Guidelines for further details.
Can I smoke in the room? Yes, you may smoke in your room. Ashtrays are provided for your convenience.
What different themed gardens do you have? We have many different themes, ranging from tropical island waterfalls to serene Japanese gardens to Alaskan cabins complete with roaring fireplaces! You can view photos of all our gardens under the Gardens & Prices section of this web site.
Do you have memberships? Yes, the VIP membership is an exclusive way to save on your Oasis vacation! Membership cards are valid for 1 full year from the date of purchase and your savings begin immediately! VIP memberships allow cardholders to save Sunday through Thursday from 12p to close, and Friday and Saturdays between 12p and 4p. Cardholders are entitled to exclusive Oasis savings! Prices and savings vary by Oasis location, as follows: Ann Arbor: Purchase price: $20 Savings: Daily noon-4pm, 90 minutes for the price of 1 hour Sunday-Thursday after 4pm, $10 off the price of 1 hour
Grand Rapids: Purchase price: $20 Savings: Daily noon-4pm, 90 minutes for the price of 1 hour Sunday-Thursday after 4pm, $10 off the price of 1 hour
Kalamazoo: Purchase price: $14 Savings: Daily noon-4pm, 90 minutes for the price of 1 hour Friday and Saturday after 4 March through October ONLY. Sunday-Thursday after 4pm, $7 off the price of 1 hour, or $10 off the price of 1 ½ hours You can use the VIP membership cards at any of our 3 locations. The savings the cardholder receives are based on the location the card is being used at. (For savings, please see above. Since the Oasis VIP membership is the biggest discount we offer, it unfortunately cannot be combined with any other offers or savings (including bonus stamps, email coupons, birthday parties or gift certificate purchases). Any time you visit the Oasis and do not take advantage of the membership savings, you may use a valid coupon or receive a bonus stamp.
Do you have a repeat customer incentive? Yes, we offer Bonus Cards to initiate and reward repeat visits. With each purchase of a hot tub or gift certificate, guests are eligible for a stamp on an Oasis Bonus Card. Once the Bonus Card is filled with ten valid stamps, the guest may redeem the card on a future hot tub visit. Visit on Monday's for double stamps with your hot tub purchase.(Also see question about memberships)
Do you have any other specials/discounts? We have multiple discounts available to our valued guests:
- Collect stamps on your Oasis Bonus Card and earn a free hot tub soak after 10 stamps!
- Join our Email Club and receive exclusive monthly discounts - print them out and use them again and again throughout the month!
- Visit us on Monday and get double stamps on your Oasis Bonus Card. Show your valid college or military ID on Tuesday, and receive $2.50 off each person in your party.
- Kids like the Oasis, too! First two children 16 and under are free with two paid adults. Each additional child is just $5. Oasis does request you provide towels for the kids or feel free to rent towels upon arrival. See Family Vacation rates on our Prices page.
- Purchase gift certificates in excess of $100 and receive 10% discounts!

Can I bring my children? Of course! Our specially-discounted family rates allow parents to bring up to two kids for free! Call for special pricing or visit our Gardens & Prices page. (We even have kids' water toys, available upon request!)
My child’s birthday is coming up. Do you do birthday parties for kids? Yes! We'd be happy to host your child's next celebration. Please call for special pricing and details.
How old do you have to be in order to tub? You must be 18 years or older. However, younger persons may be accommodated with parental supervision or with parental consent. Please see our Policies & Guidelines for further details.
Are there any health restrictions I should know about? Please review our health and safety Policies & Guidelines for common health restrictions. We encourage you to speak with your doctor if you are unsure about your ability to safely enjoy the hot tubbing experience.
Do you sell gift certificates? Yes. You may purchase them online, in person, or over the phone.
Is the Oasis a franchise? No. The Oasis is a privately-owned company with a base in Michigan for over 24 years.
